Gibraltar boys and girls on court Tuesday

The Gibraltar High School girls basketball team dropped its fifth straight contest on Tuesday at Gillett. The Tigers shot over 50 percent from the floor and got solid contributions from three starters to cruise 63-43. Aubrey DeBauch netted 21, Karissa Schaal racked up 19 and Camryn Long added 13 points for Gillett. Gibraltar was paced by Abbigael Sitte with 18 points. Nina Sitte and Sage Krause edged into double figures. Gibraltar attempts to snap its skid on Friday against Sevastopol.


The Gibraltar boys basketball team took a 27-18 lead into halftime at home against Peshtigo but couldn’t hold it. The Bulldogs had bite in the second stanza putting up 34 points and winning 52-50. Brady Ash and Sam Lindenberg each had a dozen for Gibraltar. Cade Tackmier dropped 18 for Peshtigo. The Gibraltar boys are now 1-6 overall. Their next game is Saturday at Sevastopol.
