Boys' basketball round-up: Pollman eclipses 1,000 points

Southern Door was able to get back on track with a win and Sevastopol's Robby Pollman got just a notch above 1,000 points in his career to lead the area's Saturday basketball slate.

Pollman scored 18 points to end the night officially with 1,001 points in his career, the first in Sevastopol history. That was enough to lead the Pioneers to victory as Sam Lindenberg scored 21 points and Luke Steebs added 18 in Gibraltar's 79-63 win over their county rivals.

The Eagles soared to victory after losing to Sturgeon Bay earlier in the week, beating Algoma 71-45. Alex Daoust scored a game high 22 points in the win.

Ryan Carmicheal scored 19 points and Tanor Bortolini had a double-double in Kewaunee's 67-52 win over Peshtigo.
