The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team responded in a big way after their Friday night loss to IUPUI, dominating UIC 73-37.
The Phoenix defense was smothering Sunday afternoon, allowing the Flames to shoot just under 32 percent from the field and single digits in the second and third quarters. Offensively, it was a break out game for the Phoenix as three players reached double figures led by Caitlyn Hibner with 14. Hailey Oskey and Patricia Gallasov each chipped in 10 points on the afternoon. It is the second time in as many weeks the Phoenix opened their weekend with loss only to come soaring back in the second matchup.
The Phoenix will open a five game road swing this Friday night at Youngstown State.
