The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team was overwhelmed in a truly hostile environment Friday night. The Purdue Boilermakers are only 11-9 this season, a down year for Matt Painter’s steady squad, but they are still dangerous at home. Two weeks ago Purdue beat 11 Michigan State by 29 points on their home court. Purdue topped Wisconsin handily Friday, 70-51.
It was a major step backwards for a Badger team that had finally begun to click on the offensive end of the court. Wisconsin scored just 15 points in the first 20 minutes of play. It doesn’t get easier for the Badgers. Their next game is at 19 Iowa Monday night.
