There is only one varsity basketball game featuring an area team Saturday. It tips at 1:30 PM in Brussels with the Southern Door High School girls basketball team hosting Peshtigo. The game was originally set for December 12th of last year. Peshtigo is 6-1 in conference, their only loss to undefeated Kewaunee. Southern Door enters the contest at 4-4. Being the home team in an early afternoon contest can sometimes be a bigger advantage than any potential talent discrepancy against a squad above you in the standings. Look for Southern Door to try to get out to a fast start before Peshtigo can get into first gear.
