The Gibraltar Vikings will be the only local boys' basketball team in action Monday when they welcome Oneida Nation to Fish Creek.
The Vikings snapped a two-game losing streak on Friday when it topped Algoma in a road contest 77-67. Four Vikings scored in double figures including 22 from the team's leading scorer Luke Steebs. They face an Eagle squad that was nipped by Crivitz their last time out 51-48 for their second loss in a row after a three-game winning streak. The Vikings will have to slow down Javon Webster, who leads the team in scoring at over 16 points a game and rebounding at just about seven a contest.
Classes were canceled Monday due to an early morning fire, but no announcement was made about if the non-conference matchup would face a similar fate. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
