After playing a double-overtime thriller on Friday night, the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team took the drama out of their next game against Cleveland State early with a 74-54 victory Sunday afternoon.
The Phoenix outscored the Vikings 26-14 in the first quarter, thanks in part to a hot start by Frankie Wurtz with two three-point shots. Wurtz would finish the game with 25 points. The Phoenix were able to build their lead thanks to forcing nine turnovers while cashing in on them to the tune of 15 points. Hailey Oskey and Madison Wolf also reached double figures for the Phoenix. Their next game is Thursday against defending league champion Wright State.
