It has not been the best of seasons for Algoma High School boys basketball and facing a Kewaunee team that had just suffered its first conference defeat would be a tough draw for any team. On Tuesday night, the Storm unleashed a downpour drowning the Wolves with an offensive outburst unmatched so far this year. Kewaunee hit the century mark in a 100-56 victory.
To put that in perspective, no game featuring Kewaunee has had a team make it to 100 points in the past decade, perhaps ever. Notre Dame Academy scored 94 versus Kewaunee in November 2012. Kewaunee is off until Saturday when they travel to Gibraltar. The Vikings will be hoping that the Storm have cooled off a bit by then.
