Clintonville rolls past Spartans on WBDK

The Clintonville Truckers spoiled the Luxemburg-Casco Lady Spartans inaugural game in the new gymnasium with a 77-64 in Luxemburg Tuesday night in North Eastern Conference basketball.  The Spartans started fast by by taking a 32-13 lead with 4:39 left in the first half.  The Truckers then stormed back with a 15-3 run before intermission to close the game to 35-28.  Clintonville continued the run in the second half as center Erin Viergutz scored 20 of her game-high 35 points to lead the Truckers.  The Spartans were led by Taylor Thiry with 26 points while Lauren Adams added 13 and Heather Dart chipped in 12.  Luxemburg-Casco (4-10, 4-13 overall) will now travel to Little Chute to take on the Mustangs on Friday night.  The next broadcast on WBDK 96.7 FM will be on Monday, February 17 on "senior night" as the Lady Spartans host the Seymour Thunder.
