Girls' basketball preview: Light evening scheduled

If it wasn't for bad weather in December, Algoma would be the only local team with a game Thursday night in girls' basketball action.

Instead, Kewaunee, Gibraltar, and Algoma all have games tonight. In fact, Gibraltar and Kewaunee will make up their postponed December 12th matchup in Fish Creek at 7:30 p.m. The Storm is coming off their first loss of the season Tuesday night, but remain undefeated in Packerland play. The Vikings have won five of their last six games with their only blemish coming last week in a 61-49 defeat.

Algoma heads out of town to face Gresham. The Wolves have lost four out of their last six games, but are hoping to build off a 47-39 win against Oconto their last time out. Gresham lost their game earlier this week 68-37 to Laona/Wabeno. The two teams square off at 7:30 p.m.
