Phoenix earn elusive IUPUI win

For the first time since they became Horizon League rivals, the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team beat the IUPUI Jaguars in a 91-85 Thursday morning win.

The Phoenix came out firing in the first half, entering the break with a 47-27 advantage thanks to a 25-1 run. The Phoenix nailed seven three-pointers in the half with Cody Schwartz accounting for three of them. The 20 point lead didn't deter the Jaguars from clawing back into the game by shooting over 50 percent from the field and knocking down 10 three-pointers in the process. Amari Davis and JayQuan McCloud broke the 20 point barrier while Schwartz and Kameron Hankerson also reached double figures.

Both the men and the women's teams will be on the road Saturday. The men play at UIC while the women battle in-state rival UW-Milwaukee.
