Door County United wins conference title

The Door County United swim team left Chilton with some extra hardware after winning the Eastern Wisconsin Conference meet Saturday.


DCU scored 121 points in the meet, beating second place Plymouth by 17 points. Brock Aune won two individual titles in the 50 meter freestyle (22.67 seconds) and 100 meter breaststroke (1;02;02). Aune was also part of a 200 meter freestyle team that broke a pool record with a time of 1:32.77 and a 200 meter medley team that also won gold. Ethan Almstadt and Jacob Norton went 1-2 in the 200 meter individual medley while Luke Bousley took third in the 200 meter freestyle. Thompson took third in the 100 meter butterfly, Jesper Johnson won the 500 meter freestyle, and Norton took third in the backstroke. DCU also had a 400 meter relay team that took gold as well.
