Lady Spartans comeback falls short 51-49 on WBDK

The Luxemburg-Casco Lady Spartans rallied but came up short at home Tuesday on Senior Night against the Seymour Thunder 51-69 in a nonconference game broadcast on WBDK 96.7 FM.  Trailing by 17, 36-19, at halftime the Lady Spartans mounted a furious comeback with the help of second-half shooting by Lauren Adams and a double-double by Tayor Thiry.  Adams scored ten of her 12 points in the second half and Thiry connected for 19 points going 7-10 on her free throws to keep the Spartans close.  Seymour was led by Diahanna King who scored 21 points. Luxemburg-Casco (4-14, 4-17 overall) will now finish up the season on the road at Oconto Falls on Thursday in the North Eastern Conference finale.  The Lady Spartans seeded #12 in Division II will travel to Kaukauna to play the #5 seeded Galloping Ghosts next Tuesday at 7 pm in a regional quarterfinal.  That game will be broadcast on 96.7 FM and streamed on DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com starting at 6:30 pm with the pre-game and tipoff at 7 pm.
