There will be plenty of Door Peninsula flavor at next weekend's WIAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament in Madison.
In Oconto Falls, Luxemburg-Casco scored the second-most points in the field as it will send seven wrestlers to the state meet. Easton Worachek won his first sectional championship while Reece Worachek and Lucas Joniaux added more brackets to their collection with titles of their own. Hunter Joniaux, Issac Blohowiak, Travis LeGrave, and Kyle Kroll also secured their tickets to state.
Going up a division did not change the final destination for Kewaunee's Jack Severin's season. He won the 126 pound weight class to secure another top seed at the state meet.
In Shawano, Southern Door's Grant Englebert and Griffin Slezewski punched their trips to Madison with third-place finishes.
