While the high school kids punched their tickets to the state tournament on Saturday, the area's youth wrestlers hit the mats on Sunday.

On a busy weekend for high school wrestling, there was still plenty of youth wrestling action on Sunday. Twenty wrestlers represented Southern Door at the Oconto Falls/Abrams K-8 Tournament. Three of them earned their way to the top step of the podium: Payton Jeanquart, Flynn Jeanquart and Mason Motquin. Other results were:
2nd Place - Jackson Bellin, Gavin Geisel, Colton Valley
3rd Place - Chance Dekeyser, Alex Buhr
4th Place - Ezra Stutting, Peter Bloniarz, Austin Ferron, Braden Baun, Lance Veeser, Jerek Valley, Wyatt Wilke
5th Place - Oliver Wilke, Brennan Baun, Eli Konrad, Hailey Veeser
At the Oshkosh North Spartan Youth Wrestling Tourney, 3 siblings competed. Jonah Lefevre took 1st Place, brother Clark 2nd and sister Nora 4th.
Abi Tooley placed 3rd at Valders.

Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol's youth wrestlers headed to Oconto Falls for a day of tough competition and fun. The team had 11 top-five finishes.
