Gibraltar cruises past Suring on 105.1 WSBW

The Gibraltar Vikings clamped down on the Suring Eagles Tuesday night, winning the first round game 58-38.

After a slow start for both teams, the Vikings offense caught fire thanks to Sage Krause knocking down a pair of three-pointers and Sophia Alexander keeping possessions alive with good offensive rebounding. Entering the second half up 27-13, the Vikings were able to increase their lead even more with Abbi Sitte scoring seven of her nine points in the final frame. Krause led the Vikings with 13 points, followed by Alexander's 12 and Maggie Moroney's 11. Kate Mahoney led the Eagles with 14 points.

The Vikings will play at Gillett on Friday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 105.1 WSBW beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame followed by the opening tip.
