College basketball round-up: Marquette snaps skid, Green Bay hosts crucial homestand

Marquette snapped a three-game skid against Georgetown while the state's other Division 1 college programs kick off a pivotal weekend slate.

 

Markus Howard scored 30 points as the Golden Eagles beat Georgetown 93-72 Wednesday night.

 

Wisconsin could go as high as second place and as low seventh place depending on its matchup against Michigan Thursday at 6 p.m.

 

Both Green Bay Phoenix teams are at home Thursday with the women playing at 11 a.m. against Cleveland State at the Kress Center and the men playing at the Resch Center against Youngstown State at 7 p.m.

 

UW-Milwaukee is also at home, facing Cleveland State at 7 p.m.
