Six-run fourth inning fuels Brewers win

Friday’s Cactus League matchup between the Dodgers and the host Milwaukee Brewers was a tale of two games. Los Angeles put up a run in the fourth, two in the fifth inning, and two more in the ninth, but it wasn’t enough to offset a huge Milwaukee fourth frame.

With one out, Omar Narvaez had an infield single followed by a Ryon Healy double, and Corey Ray was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Keon Broxton struck out swinging before the flood gates opened. Mark Mathias singled to center, scoring three. Brock Holt doubled in Mathias, and Keston Hiura put the exclamation point on the inning with a home run to left center ahead in the count 1-0.

Milwaukee jumps to 4-2 in spring training. The Brewers are at the Cubs at 2:05 Saturday afternoon.
