Gibraltar boys looks to make tournament run on 105.1 WSBW

The Gibraltar Vikings boys basketball team looks to win its second straight regional championship when it begins Division 5 tournament play Tuesday night against Bowler.

Both teams come into the match-up with similar records, just winning a handful of games during the regular season. Zachary Fehrman and Lane Schultz are the one-two punch for the Panthers, averaging a combined 30 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists a game. The Vikings are a little more balanced offensively with Luke Steebs averaging 15 points a game and teammate Sam Lindenberg contributing 10 points a night. Head coach Justin Burress sees a lot of similarities between this team and last year's squad that won only 10 regular-season games before winning three straight in the playoffs.

Tim Kowols and Bryan Mazur will have the call on 105.1 WSBW beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m. You can also tune into the action at DoorCountyDailyNews.com, DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com, and the DoorCountyDailyNews.com mobile app.
