Clippers, Eagles await Special Olympics sectionals

Two Door County Special Olympics teams will head west this next weekend for sectionals after a successful run in Sheboygan on Saturday.

 

The Door County Clippers took first place in division five and the Door County Eagles took 1st place in division nine to clinch their sectional berth. The Door County Tigers took third in division 13 to finish just on the outside of sectional.

 

In the two games featuring the Eagles, they doubled up their opponents in both games, beating Sheboygan 35-17 and Fond du Lac 30-13. Scoring recaps are listed below. The Clippers and Eagles move on to sectionals in Stevens Point on March 15th. 

 

Eagles game 1

9-2 first quarter against Sheboygan 

12-7 at half

23-15 end of 3rd

35-17 final
