A trip to Indianapolis for the Horizon League semifinals is on the line when the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team hosts Oakland in quarterfinal action at the Resch Center Thursday night.
Both teams had to beat Cleveland State to get to this point, with the Phoenix topping the Vikings on Saturday to clinch the bye and the Golden Grizzlies beating them 80-59 to advance in the Horizon League Tournament. The Golden Grizzlies got the best of the Phoenix in their last matchup, winning a marathon, double-overtime game 92-88. The Phoenix won another thriller against the Golden Grizzlies earlier this season 73-69.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. with the winner heading to Indianapolis for Monday's semifinal games.
