Gibraltar boys basketball looks to keep streak on 105.1 WSBW

Many of the members of the Gibraltar boys basketball team were in the same spot just a few months ago as they await their matchup with Suring on Friday night in Fish Creek.

Suring was also the opponent when the Gibraltar football team was looking to advance in the WIAA Eight-man Football Playoffs. That game eventually went to the Vikings, but not before the Eagles came back to almost spoil the celebration. The difference now is that it is the Eagles, led by Jayden Geniesse, that is the lower seed and making the trip east. The Eagles earned the semifinal berth by beating St. Thomas Aquinas 61-38 on Tuesday night while the Vikings got theirs by blowing past Bowler 97-67.

Tim Kowols and Bryan Mazur will have the call beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.
