Gibraltar advances to regional final against Wausaukee on 105.1 WSBW

The Gibraltar Vikings used a 23-9 run to end the first half as a springboard to their second straight regional final as they beat the Suring Eagles 66-49 in Fish Creek.

 

The game was back and forth in the early going with the score tied 11-11 The Vikings clamped down on the Eagles defensively from there on out while Sam Lindenberg and Dominic Krauel carried the offense to a 34-20 halftime. Both coaches used timeouts to cut off runs by either team, but the Eagles were never able to get to within single digits. The Vikings had four players in double figures, led by Krauel's 16 points and Lindenberg's 14. Dequez Sepulveda led the Eagles with 14 points in the loss.

 

The Vikings will hit the road for the regional final as they head to Wausaukee for a 7 p.m. tilt. The top-seeded Rangers beat Goodman-Pembine 66-39. Tim Kowols and Bryan Mazur will have the call beginning at 6:30 p.m. on 105.1 WSBW.
