Short-handed Bucks drop third straight

Without their top players, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to stick around for most of the game before eventually falling to the Denver Nuggets Monday night 109-95.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were among the regulars out of the lineup due to a number of issues as the team gets ready for the stretch run. For the second day in a row, the Bucks defense struggled to keep the team off the scoreboard as the Nuggets took a 15 point lead into the second quarter. The Nuggets also closed the game strong, outscoring the Bucks 33-24 to secure the season sweep of the Bucks. Kyle Korver ended up leading the Bucks in scoring with 23 points off the bench while Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 21 points.

The Bucks will finally get a couple of days off at home before returning to the Fiserv Forum Thursday to host the Boston Celtics.
