Campus closures cancel track meets

The closure of college campuses in Wisconsin will have a trickle-down effect for area track teams.

UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stevens Point and Ripon College are just three of the state's schools that have extended their spring break until the end of the month and have canceled many of their on-campus activities as a result of COVID-19. That means indoor track meets scheduled within the next few weeks have also been canceled. This includes a meet scheduled for next week at UW-Oshkosh involving Luxemburg-Casco, Algoma, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, and Southern Door and another invitational at Ripon that was slated to include Algoma and Kewaunee. A track meet at Oconto Falls High School scheduled for Monday involving Gibraltar and Algoma has not yet been canceled. The same goes for a track meet next Thursday at Manitowoc Lincoln that includes Luxemburg-Casco and Kewaunee.
