Wisconsin's Gard wins Coach of the Year honors

Two months after fans called for his firing, Wisconsin's Greg Gard has another award for his mantle.

Gard was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 7 coach of the year on Monday after his team finished as Big Ten Co-Champions and was poised for another conference tournament championship and a run in the NCAA Tournament. With a record of 12-9, fans decorated campus buildings calling for Gard's ouster. They went 9-1 after that, securing the Big Ten Tournament's top seed.
