The Green Bay Packers are making a big donation in the name of COVID-19 relief in Green Bay and Milwaukee while its president sends money towards Door County.
Establishing COVID-19 Community Relief Funds through Packers Give Back, the organization will direct $1 million towards Brown County efforts and $500,000 to Milwaukee initiatives. These donations are on top of an initial $30,000 donation for COVID-19 relief in Brown County.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy and his wife Laurie made their own donation to the cause that could have a local impact. The Murphys donated $240,000 toward COVID-19 efforts in Brown and Door Counties.
