The International Olympic Committee is already looking ahead to 2021 to host its signature summer event.
IOC member Dick Pound told the USA Today Monday that the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was the likely path the governing body would take as the world tries to get a firm grasp of the coronavirus outbreak. Canada, Australia, and Great Britain withdrew from the games before a decision could even be made official by the IOC while the U.S. Olympic Team poll shows athletes wishing the quadriennial event gets postponed so they can properly train.
