Run the Door Series getting cut short

The fun but competitive Run the Door Series is getting shorter by the week.

The 16-race slate, which began back in November at the inaugural One Barrel Run, has been cut back in recent weeks due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Southern Door Eagles Trail Trot, Maifest 10K in Jacksonport, and the Hog Wild 10K/5K in Sturgeon Bay have all been canceled. According to the group's web site, there is still hope the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K at Peninsula State Park could be rescheduled down the road. Only two races so far have been completed with the next run in the series scheduled to take place on June 20th at Crossroads at Big Creek.
