A new agreement between Major League Baseball and the players’ union set a roadmap for an adapted season this week that includes a limited second session of spring training. By the new Opening Day, the Brewers roster needs to be down to 25 players. Friday, they began that process by optioning five players to their minor league system. Catcher Jacob Nottingham, left-hander Angel Perdomo, and right-handers Bobby Wahl and Eric Yardley were moved to Milwaukee’s AAA affiliate in San Antonio. Spring training rosters are now frozen until exhibition games can be restarted.
