Two former Algoma track athletes earned All-Conference honors for the second time this month, but this time is for their work in the classroom.
Morgan Davister and Ali Spitzer earned Academic All-Conference Honors for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. According to the CCIW website, Each member school in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) will select student-athletes from each of the three sport seasons (e.g., fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.30 or above (freshmen and first year transfers are not eligible). Davister and Spitzer earned indoor track All-Conference honors at the beginning of March before college athletics across the country were shuttered due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
