The NCAA canceled the spring sports season earlier this month due to coronavirus concerns. According to USA Today, the decision now allows schools to keep student-athletes on their roster, though it does not guarantee the players the scholarship money will be there for them. That prospect was also made harder yesterday because in addition to losing gate receipts and sponsorship dollars, member schools can a share of a much smaller revenue pie: $225 million instead of the expected $600 million.
