Football workouts are underway, and the University of Wisconsin Badgers program has been relatively unscathed from COVID-19. Only two players have been confirmed cases between the volleyball and football programs that were part of phase one of reopening. By comparison, Iowa reported 12 positive cases among returning student-athletes, a high for the Big Ten. Those infected, and the players and staff they had contact with, are self-isolating. Wisconsin reported that 100 of 123 players participated in the first day of workouts last week.
