Booyah lose home opener

The Green Bay Booyah gave up seven unanswered runs in the final two frames to lose their home opener 10-5 to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Wednesday night.

In one of the first publicly attended games in the Green Bay area since the WIAA Girls' State Basketball Tournament in March, the Booyah came back from a 2-0 deficit with four runs in the fifth inning and a single tally in the sixth inning. Three of those runs came off of home runs for Booyah thanks to Grant Emme and Brady West. Chandler Ingram was the hard luck pitcher in the eighth inning, giving up four runs. Jacob Paulishak gave up another three runs in the ninth as the Rafters put the game out of reach. Chris McElvain took the win for the Rafters while Joe Taylor took the loss for the Booyah despite not giving up a run.
