Philadelphia becomes first NFL city to ban attendance

There will be no fans allowed at Lincoln Financial Field to watch Eagles games until 2021 as the City of Philadelphia has banned large gatherings throughout the rest of the year. The question becomes what effect that will have on other NFL teams. It would not be surprising to see Los Angeles, New York, and others potentially follow suit, which sets up a scenario where some teams would be allowed to have fans and others would not. That presents a serious financial disadvantage for the organizations affected, but also a competitive one. That may lead the NFL to step in and mandate one policy for all teams, potentially curbing or eliminating fan attendance at Lambeau Field come September for Packers games.
