Blue/Gold Series concludes ahead of Wednesday exhibition

It is time to face an actual opponent for the Milwaukee Brewers after the Gold squad won the final game of its intrasquad series with the Blue team 4-2.

Omar Narvaez gave his Gold squad the 2-1 lead on his third home-run of the scrimmage series. Brandon Woodruff looked good in his final tune-up before the regular-season opener against the Chicago Cubs, giving up just an unearned run while striking out five over five innings of work. Christian Yelich continued his struggles at the plate, going 0-5 on Sunday after collecting his first hit of the series on Friday.

The Brewers announced two of their non-roster invitees are going to make the roster after strong showings in both spring training and summer camp. Logan Morrison has proved his swing could provide some valuable pop from first base and Justin Grimm could be another valuable piece coming out of the bullpen for the Brewers.

The Brewers will have a few more days of practice before traveling to Chicago to face the White Sox on Wednesday.
