Packers cut seating as preseason gets canceled

It will be a much more intimate crowd at Lambeau Field this season if and when the Green Bay Packers are allowed to take it.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy estimates that 10,000-12,000 spectators would be allowed inside Lambeau Field for games if permitted. Season Ticket Holders have just under two weeks to let the organization know if they will be opting out of their seats this year without risk of losing their right to purchase next year.

The announcement was made during the team's annual financial announcement, which showed a record revenue of $506.9 million, which could allow the organization to go through the pandemic-stricken season without a preseason and with limited access to its properties while not tapping into its corporate reserve fund.
