The Milwaukee Brewers took advantage of a new 2020 wrinkle to win its second game of the year, a 6-5 decision over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Brewers were down 5-1 heading into the top of the ninth thanks to the Pirates' Colin Moran slugging two solo home runs. Keston Hiura got hit by a pitch and Christian Yelich hit a RBI groundout before Ryan Braun drove in a pair with his first double of the season. It would stay 5-5 until the top of the 11th when Brock Holt was placed at second base to start the inning and Eric Sogard slugged a double. David Phelps pitched 1-2-3 11th inning to earn the win for the Brewers. The two teams are scheduled to play again Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.
