Professional teams get back to work

Fans of professional sports in Wisconsin are smiling a little bit more today as all three of the state's teams officially get back to work.

Green Bay Packers players reported to their facilities on Thursday in anticipation for their first practices sometime next week. For now, teams are focusing on health with daily COVID-19 tests and other administrative duties. So far, kicker Mason Crosby, tight end, Jace Sternberger, defensive lineman Treyvon Hester and outside linebackers Greg Roberts have landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which means either they tested positive or have had recent contact with someone who did.

The Milwaukee Bucks will finally get to play for real this evening after going 2-1 in their exhibition slate. The Bucks will play in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPN against the Boston Celtics at 5:30 p.m.

The Milwaukee Brewers will have their Miller Park debut this afternoon at 1:10 against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Brewers are 3-3 on the year after winning its series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
