The Wisconsin Badgers may have to wait a while to get the season underway this fall if at all.

The Big Ten announced Saturday that the league's teams would not progress to the next stage of practices, which would have allowed players to wear more than just helmets for protective equipment. Big Ten presidents were also supposed to meet on Saturday where the start of the fall sports season was supposed to be a discussion topic. An additional blow to the possibility of college sports this fall also came on Saturday when the Mid-American Conference, which shares a similar geographic footprint to the Big Ten called off their fall sports season.
