In a matter of a week, the Wisconsin Badgers have gone from having a 10-game Big Ten-only season for football to likely nothing at all.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Sunday night that an announcement to cancel all Big Ten fall sports and move their seasons to the spring is likely coming early this week. Member university presidents met on Saturday and again on Sunday to discuss the possible decision. The conference had just announced the revamped schedule and safety protocols just last week. It would not be unprecedented as Wisconsin colleges at lower levels have either canceled their fall sports season entirely or in the case of the Horizon League, postpone it until October 1st.
