WIAA Board of Control to hold meeting Friday

Just days before low contact sports are allowed to start practicing, the WIAA Board of Control is scheduled to meet to discuss among other things the fall sports season.

The WIAA announced last month a delay to the fall sports season, allowing low-contact sports like girls golf, girls tennis, girls swimming and diving, and boys and girls cross country to start as soon as Monday. High contact sports like football, boys soccer, and girls volleyball can start as soon as September 7th. Schools that decide against participating in the fall season can do so during a special spring season. More guidance from the WIAA is expected to be released after the WIAA Board of Control's meeting takes place.
