Down 4-1 halfway through Tuesday’s game, the Milwaukee Brewers mounted a furious comeback capped off by a two-run eighth inning to knock off Minnesota. First baseman Jedd Gyorko launched a 1-0 fastball to center to put the Brewers up 6-4. The bullpen was sterling, pitching five scoreless innings. Reliever Devin Williams picked up his first win of the season with Josh Hader getting his third save. Hader has recorded six strikeouts against just two baserunners in four innings of work.
Milwaukee is 7-8 on the season, with the rubber match of the series scheduled for 6:10 Wednesday night.
