Brewers swept by the Pirates

A week after taking three out of four from the first-place Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers dropped all three of its matchups against the Pittsburgh Pirates including Sunday's 5-4 loss. Down 2-0, the Brewers got RBI hits from Justin Smoak in the fourth inning and Omar Narvaez in the fifth inning to tie things up. Smoak would give the Brewers a brief lead in the sixth inning when he homered to drive in Keston Hiura to make it a 4-2 ballgame. The Pirates cut the deficit to 4-3 before Gregory Polanco gave the team the lead for good with a two-run shot against David Phelps in the bottom of the eighth.

The Brewers return home to face the Cincinnati Reds at 7:10 p.m.
