Brewers win second in a row

Milwaukee and the Cincinnati Reds played nine innings Tuesday, but they only scored in one of them. Luckily for the Brewers, they picked up three in the fourth to the Reds’ two. In the top half of the inning, Cincinnati plated both its runs thanks to a two-out single from former Brewer Mike Moustakas.

Milwaukee got their three on a classic National League-style rally. Christian Yelich led off the inning with an infield single that he just beat out at first base. Another base knock by Keston Hiura put two men on. The first run scored on a throwing error from Reds first baseman Joey Votto. With one out, Ben Gamel doubled to right. Orlando Arcia singled in the final run of the fourth with two out.

The Chicago Cubs lost in Detroit Tuesday, helping the Brewers gain a game on the NL Central leaders. They are 4.5 back now. First pitch from Miller Field Wednesday is at 7:05 PM.
