Brewers take finale from Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers fended off three Pittsburgh Pirates comebacks to win the series finale Monday night 6-5.

Eric Sogard led off the scoring in the second inning with a two-RBI single before the Pirates and the Brewers traded runs in the third inning to make it 3-2. Luis Urias drove in Omar Narvaez to make it 4-2 in the fourth inning before the Brewers and Pirates traded runs again in the fifth inning. That frame was highlighted by Keston Hiura's eighth home run of the year. Jose Osuna tied up the game in sixth inning with a two-run single off of Freddy Peralta before the offense for both teams dried up. Orlando Arcia drove in the game-winning run when he knocked in Ben Gamel on a single. Josh Hader bounced back from a rough game his last time out to record his eighth save of the season. The Brewers will stick around Milwaukee to face the Detroit Tigers beginning at 6:40 p.m.
