The area's two local golf teams got to swing the sticks on Thursday.

Results are expected to be released later, but Sturgeon Bay got to participate in its first meet of the year as a member of the Bay Conference. They headed to Seymour on Thursday to face the host school, Oconto, Shawano Community, West De Pere and Xavier at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Luxemburg-Casco had its third meet of the year, playing Little Chute, host Marinette, and Oconto Falls at Little River Golf Course.

After the holiday weekend, the Clippers will be back in action on Tuesday at Ridgeway Golf Course while Luxemburg-Casco will host their own meet on Wednesday.
