Hunters across the state are gearing up for trips out into the woods as hunting season start-up over the next several weeks.

Early September Canada Goose, early teal and mourning dove hunts kicked things off last Tuesday while bear season starts on Wednesday. By next Saturdays, area hunters will have gotten their first taste of deer season with bows and the fall wild turkey season.
