Brewer bats silenced in Detroit

The Milwaukee Brewers’ road trip got a little bumpier Tuesday as they hit a pothole in the Motor City. Detroit starter Spencer Turnbull, along with relievers Gregory Soto and Buck Farmer, held the Crew to just three hits through eight innings. Milwaukee picked up three runs in the final frame, but by then, the game was well out of hand. Center fielder Avasail Garcia picked up his 12th RBI of the season.

Brewers starter Adrian Houser couldn’t escape the fifth inning, as the Tigers extended their lead to 6-0 midway through the contest. The teams play one more from Comerica Park Wednesday. First pitch is 12:10 PM with Corbin Burnes looking for another quality start.
