Seventy-nine teams will be on the water Saturday to finish the Sturgeon Bay Open Bass Tournament. The event was initially scheduled for the spring but had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Conditions will not be ideal for anglers with rain and some wind expected. The format is similar to past years in that each team will weigh what they consider their five best fish at 3:00 PM. In years past, the weigh-in has become a gathering point for fishermen and the community. Organizers are asking those not participating to avoid being a spectator this year out of public health concerns. The tournament’s 30th anniversary is the first organized by the North American Bass Challenge circuit.
